In Auto Trigger mode, the scope operates in a mode called “Untriggered Scan” (left to right). On-screen, scan looks like the head of a snake chasing (but not quite catching) the tail. Also, the Trigger Level control is inoperable.
In Normal Trigger mode, the scope displays the acquisitions all at once, just like in faster timebases. Also, the Trigger Level control operates as normal.
